Watch the colours light up.
Each round, Simon flashes a sequence of pads one at a time, with a tone for each. The first round is a single flash; every round after adds one more step to the end.
- Step 02
Repeat the sequence in order.
When the flashing stops it is your turn. Tap the pads — or press keys 1 to 4 — in the exact order they lit up. Match the whole sequence and Simon adds another step.
- Step 03
One wrong tap ends the run.
Press the wrong pad, or wait too long, and the round is over. Your score is the longest sequence you repeated; your best run per difficulty is saved on your device.

Simon is a memory game from 1978. The board flashes a growing sequence of coloured pads with a tone for each, and you repeat it back from memory. Every round adds one more step, so the sequence gets longer and harder to recall.
Press Start, then watch the sequence light up. When it stops, tap the pads in the same order. Repeat the whole sequence correctly and the next round adds another flash. Keep going as long as your memory holds.
Tap or click the four pads. On a keyboard, keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 map to the pads in reading order (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right). Press Enter or Space to start a new run.
Your score is the length of the longest sequence you repeated in full. Completing the five-step round, for example, scores five. Your best score is tracked separately for each difficulty.
Higher difficulties play the sequence faster and give you less time to respond before the round times out. Easy is forgiving and good for learning the rhythm; Hard is a real test of focus.
Yes — once it is your turn, you have a few seconds for each tap before the round ends. The window is generous on Easy and tightens on Medium and Hard, so keep the pattern moving.
Yes. The Sound button in the toolbar toggles the tones on or off, and your choice is remembered. The colours still flash, so the game is fully playable without audio.
Yes. The four pads are large touch targets and the board scales to fit the screen. Tones play through your device speaker once you tap Start, which is also what unlocks audio on mobile browsers.
