How 2048 works,

Slide the whole board.
Arrow keys on desktop or a swipe on mobile pick a direction — up, down, left, right. Every tile shoves to that edge in one motion.

Same values merge.
After a slide right, two 4s meeting at the edge combine into an 8. Every merge doubles.

Reach the 2048 tile.
Build a tile staircase so the high merges happen in your corner. Land a 2048 and the board hands you the win.

2048 is a sliding-tile puzzle game where you combine numbered tiles to reach the 2048 tile. Each move slides every tile in one direction; tiles with the same number merge into a tile worth twice as much.
Use the arrow keys on desktop or swipe on mobile to slide all tiles in a direction. When two tiles with the same number collide they merge. After every move a new 2 or 4 tile appears in a random empty spot. Reach 2048 to win — the game ends when the board fills up with no legal moves.
Power-ups are lifelines you can spend when you run out of moves. Undo rolls back your last move, Swap exchanges any two tiles, and Delete clears every tile of a specific number. Each power-up has limited uses per game, so save them for when you are truly stuck.
Pick one corner — bottom-right is a popular choice — and keep your highest tile locked in it. Build a descending chain along that edge so larger tiles never get separated. Avoid up-and-down moves that scatter your board.
The game ends when the board is full and no two adjacent tiles share a number, so no merges are possible. Reaching 2048 wins the round, but you can keep playing to chase larger tiles like 4096, 8192, and beyond.
