Drag any dot · lines touching another line glow red
About the gameHow Untangle works,
How Untangle works,
in short.
- Step 01
No two lines may cross.
Dots are joined by straight lines. The puzzle is solved when no line crosses any other. The red lines are the ones still crossing — clear them all to win.
- Step 02
Press and drag any dot.
Press a dot and drag it — every line joined to it follows along live, and the crossings update as you move. Slide one dot out of the tangle and watch the red lines come apart.
- Step 03
A clean layout always exists.
Every puzzle is built from an arrangement that already has no crossings, so a tidy solution is always reachable. The fewer drags you need, the better your score.
Questions
Untangle questions, answered.
Untangle is a spatial puzzle — known elsewhere as Planarity — where dots are joined by straight lines that start out tangled. Your job is to drag the dots around until no line crosses any other, leaving a clean, flat web.
Press and drag any dot. Every line joined to that dot follows it live, and the crossing count updates as you move. Keep nudging dots apart until every line runs clear of every other line — that solves the puzzle.
Yes. Each board is generated from an arrangement that already has zero crossings, then scrambled onto a circle for you to start from. Because a crossing-free layout was the seed, one always exists — no puzzle is ever impossible.
A line glows red whenever it crosses another line. As soon as you drag the dots so those two lines no longer overlap, both settle back to faint ink. When nothing is red, you have won.
One completed drag is one move. Pressing a dot, sliding it anywhere, and releasing counts once — no matter how far it travelled. Solving in fewer moves earns a better score, so plan which dot to grab next.
Higher difficulties add more dots and more lines: Easy has eight dots, Medium twelve, and Hard sixteen, with progressively denser webs. Switching difficulty deals a fresh puzzle straight away.

Yes — it is built for dragging and works with a finger or a mouse. Each dot has a generous invisible tap area so it stays easy to grab on a phone, and the board never scrolls the page while you drag.
